With a population of approximately 200,000
people and nestled around the high peak of Burnaby Mountain, the town
of Burnaby has mainly been a residential area of Vancouver. With
that being said, Burnaby does have a number of attractions for
visitors such as a large number of parks and trails. One in
particular, Deer Lake Park is the featured attraction of all the parks
in Burnaby and is the center of arts, culture, and heritage for
Burnaby. In addition, the largest retail complex of British
Columbia is located in Burnaby, and there are a number of sports and
recreation facilities in town.
